Waisath Glassworks pipes begin as a clear “blank” of glass. Artwork is added, and the piece is then shaped into its final form. Finally, the pipes are annealed for up to 12 hours to ensure their structural stability.
Our clear glass is produced using the highest quality Simax tubing, produced in the Czech Republic. Flameworkers are fond of using Simax glass for its tendency to produce the richest colors when using gold and silver fuming techniques, which Christian favors. He also uses a similarly colored glass from the United States, which glassblowers appreciate for its unique color palette.
All Waisath Glassworks pipes are produced in the USA by only one artist: If you purchase a Waisath Glassworks piece, then you can be sure it was made by Christian. Each piece is discreetly signed and dated.
